Anyone wondering how the Michigan Film Incentives are working? I think it shocked everyone when over 70 films ran to Michigan this year (2008) after the announcement of Michigan’s 42% rebates (okay, the incentives can go up to 42% of total production expenditures).
A source told me that ANOTHER 44 films are heading to Michigan (for early 2009 production) and this may include one of the Pirates of the Carribean movies. Please post if anyone has more e.t.a. on the Pirates announcement.
